A recent photography competition was held, with 63 images submitted for judging by Tillman Kleinhans. The standard was high, making it a challenging task for the judge to select the top entries. In the Color General section, Paul Hill's landscape "Kelly Hill Tarn" took the top marks, with the judge praising its warm tones and peaceful atmosphere. Other notable entries included Ian Whiston's "Carrying Water for School" and Wallace Baxter's "I can't look", which scored 19 marks each. The Mono competition saw Kath Hill's "In the zone" take the top spot with 20 marks, with the judge praising its use of shutter speed and tonal range.

The competition also featured a Nature section, with Stephen Coyne's "Great horned owl calling" taking the top spot. The judge praised its composition and the fact that the owl was calling, giving it an extra layer of interest.
